“Crews with the City of Pocatello Water Pollution Control Department are starting the annual cleaning of the city’s sanitary sewer lines.
Jetting the mainlines is the primary preventive maintenance procedure on the pipe network. To jet a line, crews utilize a specialized truck to perform the task and the equipment uses highly pressurized water driven through nozzles to clear material and debris that may be trapped in the line. The work is estimated to wrap up in the fall.”
