Sewer repair job uncovers startling discovery

“The Cheyenne Police Department announced that on April 21, 2020 at around 6:30 p.m., workers uncovered human bones while they were repairing a sewer line in the backyard of a residence in the 1000 block of W 29th St. .

Law enforcement says that after further investigation, no foul play is suspected, and it was also discovered that the area the residence was built on was also a burial site back in 1871.

The case has been turned over to the Laramie County Coroner’s Office & Wyoming State Anthropologist.”

That must’ve been one old sewer line that needed repair for human remains to go unnoticed for over a century. It was probably quite a shock to the workers upon discovery.
